Our founder

Greg Macoy is a strategist, designer, and facilitator who founded Hunter & Campbell to help ethical organisations do better work — and work better.

With a background in digital strategy, user experience, and brand development, Greg brings over two decades of insight to the role. Working closely with clients, Greg helps turn complex challenges into purposeful, people-centred solutions — combining creative thinking with operational clarity.

At Hunter & Campbell, Greg leads projects that support charities, public sector teams, ethical businesses, and community-led initiatives — always with a focus on equity, sustainability, and impact.

Approach

Greg’s work is grounded in empathy, transparency, and thoughtful design. The guiding beliefs are that:

  • Strategy should be clear and collaborative
  • Design should be useful, inclusive, and intentional
  • Technology should serve people, not the other way around

There’s a particular interest in how organisations can align digital presence, branding, and operations with their values — not just in what they say, but in how they work.

Roles beyond Hunter & Campbell

Greg is an active voice in the ethical business community:

Greg also speaks regularly at events, panels, and workshops on topics including ethical design, digital accessibility, and purpose-led strategy. Previously, Greg co-founded the B Corp-certified creative agency Matchstick Creative and the Firestarters cross-sector stakeholder engagement programme.

What drives the work

Hunter & Campbell was created to make space for a different kind of work — collaborative, values-aligned, and led by care. The belief is that small, well-supported teams can create meaningful change — and that strategy, design, and digital tools can be powerful levers for good.
